Scripture tells us, " False messiahs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders to lead astray, if possible, even the elect." (Matthew 24:24) If it were possible, even the elect would be deceived and led astray, but it is not possible because the elect know God. I've read that people who are hired to detect counterfeit money are trained by only handling real money. They never touch counterfeit money during the training, all they touch is the real.
